Other Extraterrestrial Contacts & Communications
The following excerpt is from one of my Astrological columns that I have written for www.shirleymaclaine.com over the years which I would like to share; as it gives one something to think about that I feel is important.

Wish Upon A Star...
Our home planet, according to science, is the only planet scientifically known to harbor life as we know it. Many of us feel that we have, on occasion, been contacted by beings from distant planets. While a personal experience is not necessarily considered a tangible in scientific circles, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t occurred. It simply means that perhaps science has not yet discovered a way to accurately capture the conditions of the electronic energy or frequency change that seems to take place surrounding this type of phenomena. Science is correct in wanting to record it on their scientific data machines and computers so that it may be more universally experienced and tangibly understood. In the mean time it seems that science is still waiting for a White House lawn landing.
This is in spite of the fact that respected news media, investigators and film producers from Mexico, England and around the world have documented by camera and on film, unusual and unexplained sightings that seem truly out of this world. Scientifically there are lots of wonderful possibilities for discovery in all areas, including extraterrestrial contact, because science is also always learning.
Less than half a century ago, until NASA’s Apollo program in the late 1960’s, those of us on Earth had never actually seen our planet from outer space. We relied on the imaginations in the minds of scientists, philosophers and creative science fiction writers. This included such marvelous stories from the Buck Rogers series era of the thirties and the creative sci fi tv and film classics such as the adventurous 'Dr. Who'. The NASA Apollo revealed important pictures from actual outer space and showed what a fragile and wonderful world we live in - perhaps best described as a spark of life in the barren emptiness of space. Science shows us that the surface of Earth is consistently being re-shaped by atmospheric and tectonic pressures. Unlike the moon and other planets, the Earth is not marked by craters.
If this is a scientific fact, then it seems that perhaps the real craters are in the minds and thoughts of those who are insensitive to our Earth’s environment and its inhabitants, human, animal, and plants. This is the only planet we have and a very special one, which is important to remember as you gaze up at the new Spring night skies, where you might see some interesting phenomena fly by that science has not yet discovered!
So always keep a camera with you during nights you are gazing at the skies for you never know what could develop. Be sure to make a wish for peace and harmony for all and most of all your self, being thankful that you are you. Hopefully your efforts to observe unusual objects in the night skies will develop into a marvelous experience for you, even if it just heightens your own personal awareness; broadening your personal insight to a new understanding and personal perspective of the universe.
